Skincare During Ramadan: A K-Beauty Routine for Fasting Days

Fasting, late nights and changes in diet show up on the skin. Here is a simple K-beauty routine for Ramadan.

During Ramadan, long hours without water, shorter sleep and heavier iftar meals can leave skin dull, dehydrated or prone to breakouts. A few adjustments keep it comfortable.

Hydrate between iftar and suhoor

Spread water intake through the evening rather than drinking a lot at once. Water-rich fruit and vegetables help; very salty and fried foods do the opposite.

Suhoor / morning routine

  1. Gentle cleanse: I'm From Mugwort Gel Cleanser 150 ml.
  2. Hydrating toner: SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Brightening Toner 210 ml.
  3. Barrier-supporting moisturiser: iUNIK Beta Glucan Daily Moisture Cream 60 ml.
  4. SPF50+: SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum (SPF50+ PA++++) 50 ml.

Keep it light: fewer steps means less time and less risk of irritation when skin is dehydrated.

Night routine (after taraweeh)

  1. Double cleanse: Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Cleansing Oil 200 ml then your foam.
  2. Soothing serum: Purito Wonder Releaf Centella Serum Unscented 60 ml.
  3. Richer cream: Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream 50 ml or a sleeping mask two or three nights a week.

Handling late nights

Cooling eye patches such as Medicube PDRN Caffeine Collagen Eye Patch 60 Pcs help with puffiness, and a hydrating sheet mask before Eid gatherings, like SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Watergel Sheet Ampoule Mask 5 Sheet Masks, gives a quick glow.

Go easy on strong actives

Dehydrated skin irritates more easily. Reduce retinoids and exfoliating acids to once or twice a week during Ramadan and focus on hydration and barrier care.

It can. Less water and sleep and changes in diet may cause dehydration, dullness or breakouts. Gentle hydrating skincare helps.

Does applying skincare break the fast?

Topical skincare is widely considered not to break the fast, but follow the guidance of your own scholar if you are unsure.
